Directions

Our Building, the Maschinenlaboratorium (ML), is located beside the ETH Hauptgebäude (HG) (Main Building).

From Zurich Main Train Station (HB):

Two tram lines pass "Zurich HB" (Main Station), and offer a direct line to ETH.
Exit tram at at stop "ETH-Universitätsspital":

Tramway No. 6 (departs from "Bahnhofstrasse" direction "Zoo")
Tramway No. 10 (departs from "Bahnhofplatz/HB" direction "Bahnhof Oerlikon / Seebach").

Another way to reach us is to take the "Polybahn", walk in direction River Limmat to "Central" (5 minutes walk), on the far side take the Polybahn to the Polyterrasse. On leaving the Polybahn walk up the hill to ML building on left.

To Zurich from Zurich Airport

By Tram, from Zurich Airport to ETH
Tram no. 10 (direction Bahnhofplatz/HB) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital".
The tram operates daily from 6 am to 11 pm with trams departing every 7 to 15
minutes. Journey time: 30 minutes (You need a valid ticket for 3 zones).

By Train, from Zurich Airport to the main train station
If you wish to travel from the airport to the city centre (main station), you should
travel by S-Bahn or train. The trains leave from station located under Terminal B.
Journey time: about 10 minutes (You need a valid ticket for 3 zones).

Driving Directions from Zurich Airport
The airport is located at the center of Switzerland’s road network with excellent
connections to Zurich on the A20.

Car Parking at Zurich Airport
There are three covered car parks next to the airport terminals and a further car park a short distance away. The open-air P60 car park provides remote long-term parking.
